Meet Marta
For a long time, I thought I was searching for the next thing that would finally make me feel different.
Whether it was a new goal, a new routine or another achievement, I always believed the answer was somewhere ahead of me. Looking back, I can see I spent so much time focusing on what came next that I rarely stopped to notice how I was feeling in the present.
It wasn't until I began exploring complementary therapies that I started to understand what people meant when they talked about slowing down or reconnecting with yourself. For a long time, those ideas felt abstract to me. Learning what they looked and felt like in practice changed my perspective in ways I never expected.
As I slowed down, I realised there was a quiet part of me that had been asking me to follow this path for years. For the first time, I felt able to listen. Looking back, I think that was the beginning of finding my own way home.
That experience is what inspired Iskra.
Today, I feel incredibly grateful to support others as they find space to slow down, reconnect with themselves and navigate life's transitions in a way that feels right for them.
Iskra is a Polish word meaning ‘spark’
It was a name I kept coming back to. Not only because it reflects my Polish roots, but because it captures everything I hope this space will be: a place where people can reconnect with their own inner spark.
Although I grew up in Canada, I was raised in a Polish home. We spoke Polish, celebrated traditions, and I grew up surrounded by a culture where natural healing and caring for the whole person were simply part of everyday life.
Today, you'll find little touches of my Polish heritage woven throughout Iskra; from traditions and gentle rituals to the values that shape the way I welcome and care for people.
To me, Iskra is a reminder that the spark within us never disappears. Sometimes, we simply need the space to reconnect with it.
Working together
Healing looks different for everyone.
There's no single path, no perfect timeline and no expectation that you should arrive knowing exactly what you need. Every session begins with a conversation and is guided by what feels most supportive for you that day.
Together, we create space for your mind, body and nervous system to slow down. Whether you're seeking rest, clarity or a moment to reconnect with yourself, the intention is always the same: to help you feel more grounded, present and supported as you move through life's transitions.
You don't need to have the right words or know exactly what you need. Every session begins with where you are that day.
Whenever you’re ready
When you're ready to take the next step, we’d love to welcome you to Iskra. And if you'd like to ask a question before booking, you're always welcome to get in touch.
